TEST CENTER

Our Test Center is equipped according to the latest industry standards to conduct type approval and periodic mechanical and environmental resistance tests per IEC 60794-1-2 or relevant standard. All measurements are recorded and analyzed for further quality improvement

Tensile loading test

Test method for the measurement of Tensile loading of an optical cable and fiber therein. This is determined as a function of load to ensure that the cable or fiber strain and attenuation does not exceed the specified level during installation and subsequent use and no physical damage. An assessment of the cables ability to withstand the load without detriment to its component parts or function is also made.

Test method :           IEC 60794-1-2 E1A

Tensile loading tester

Impact resistance test

Test Method for the measurement of impact resistance on optical cable and fiber therein. This shall be determined by the attenuation change when subjected to a specified impact. An assessment of the cables ability to withstand the load without detriment to its component parts or function is also made.

Test method :           IEC 60794-1-2-E4

Impact tester

Crush or Compressive loading test

Test Method for the measurement of the crush or compressive loading on optical cable and fiber therein. This is determined as a function of load to ensure that the fiber attenuation does not exceed the specified value during installation and subsequent use. An assessment of the cables ability to withstand the load without detriment to its component parts or function is also made.

Test method :           IEC 60794-1-2-E3 or TIA/EIA-455-41A

Method A

Bending test

Test Method for the measurement of the bending on optical cable and fiber therein. This shall be determined by the attenuation change when subjected to bending half turn (U–bend) around a mandrel of predetermined diameter. An assessment of the cables ability to withstand the load without detriment to its component parts or function is also made.

Test method     :          IEC 60794-1-2-E11A/B

Cycling Flexing/ Repeat bending tester

Cycling Flexing/ Repeat bending test

This section describes a Reference Test Method for the measurement of the flexing on optical cable and fibre therein. This shall be determined by the attenuation change when subjected to flexing 180° forward to backward direction of a mandrel with predetermined diameter. An assessment of the cables ability to withstand the load without detriment to its component parts or function is also made.

Test method     :           IEC 60794-1-2-E6

Cycling Flexing/ Repeat bending tester

Torsion or Twist test

This section describes a Reference Test Method for the measurement of the torsion or twist on optical cable and fibre therein. This shall be determined by the attenuation change when subjected to 180° forward to backward direction turned about its own axis. An assessment of the cables ability to withstand the load without detriment to its component parts or function is also made

Test method :           IEC 60794-1-2-E7

Torsion or Twist tester

Flexing test

Test Method for the measurement of the flexing test on optical cable and fiber therein. This shall be determined by the attenuation change when subjected to repeat flexing in service (S–bend) around a mandrel of predetermined diameter. An assessment of the cables ability to withstand the load without detriment to its component parts or function is also made

Test method     :           IEC 60794-1-2-E8

Flexing tester

Temperature cycling test

Test Method for the determination of the behavior of optical fiber cable when subjected to changes in temperature. This is determined by measuring the relative change in attenuation of the optical fiber with in the cable as a function of temperature. An assessment of the cables ability to withstand the load without detriment to its component parts or function is also made

Test method                                  :      IEC 60794-1-2-F1

Water penetration test

Test Method for the measurement of the water penetration resistance properties of optical fiber cables. This determines the suitability of a cable to resist the passage of water along its internal length over the service life of the cable when a cross section of the cable is exposed to a fixed head of water, the water will attempt to seek the path of lowest resistance. Effective blocking of this path will ensure that water does not penetrate along the cable to cause damage and reduce the service life of the cable. At the end of period, no water shall have leaked from the opposite end.

Test method     :           IEC 60794-1-2-F1B

Fire propagation on a vertical single cable

Cables for information transmission inside buildings installed on the surface of walls are a potential source for fire propagation. A 60 cm long cable is mounted vertically. The flame must extinguish itself and the fire damage must not reach the upper end of sample.

Test method     :           IEC 60332-1-2
